Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar met during a photoshoot for Filmfare magazine. They later started dating each other and got married in 2021.

Khanna made her Bollywood debut in 1995 with Bobby Deol in Rajkumar Santoshi’s musical romance Barsaat. The movie did well at the box office and became the sixth-highest-grossing film of the year. Her next film, Jaan, where she starred alongside Ajay Devgn, was also a box office hit. However, when she worked with Saif Ali Khan in the movie Dil Tera Diwana, it did not do well and was a flop.

Around 14 of her films were flopped including 2000’s Mela. After this, she quit acting and switched career paths.
