Twinkle Khanna’s Acting Career

Twinkle Khanna is the daughter of two legendary stars – Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia – and has had her own share of success and setbacks in the film world. Although she started her career with a hit film, her journey in showbiz was short-lived, and she left the industry after only a few years.

The actress made her debut with Rajkumar Santoshi’s Barsaat, alongside Bobby Deol, in 1995, and she received the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance. Later, she was seen in several hit movies, including Baadshah, Mela, Jodi No.1 and Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai. She also gave a series of disaster films, including Joroo Ka Ghulam, Jodi No. 1, Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan and Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. In 2000, her most significant setback came with Mela, alongside Aamir Khan.

Twinkle Khanna Stepped Away From Acting

After her last film, Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, Twinkle Khanna decided to step away from the film industry. In 2001, she married actor Akshay Kumar and together have a son, Aarav and a daughter, Nitara. After leaving the film industry, she has reinvented herself as a successful writer and has written several books. In addition to her writing, she has ventured into film production and has worked on films like Tees Maar Khan, Thank You, Patiala House, Khiladi 786 and Padman.
