Uttar Pradesh Sishamau bypoll results 2024: According to the Election Commission, Naseem Solanki secured 69,714 votes, while BJP's Suresh Awasthi received 61,150 votes, and BSP's Virendra Kumar managed 1,410 votes.
The Samajwadi Party (SP) emerged victorious in the Sishamau by-election in Uttar Pradesh, with results announced on Saturday. SP candidate Naseem Solanki retained the Sishamau Assembly seat by defeating her closest competitor by 8,564 votes.
According to the Election Commission, Solanki secured 69,714 votes, while BJP’s Suresh Awasthi received 61,150 votes, and BSP’s Virendra Kumar managed 1,410 votes.
Notably, Naseem Solanki’s husband, Irfan Solanki, had previously won the seat in 2012, 2017, and 2022. The bypoll was held on Wednesday following Irfan Solanki’s disqualification from the Assembly after his conviction in a criminal case.
