Various scams involving PAN cards are taking place, such as phishing attacks, fraudulent loan applications, and credit misuse. Here's how to protect yourself.
Avoid entering personal information on suspicious websites.
Ensure the website requesting your PAN starts with "https" instead of "http," as the latter is not secure.
Regularly monitor your credit score and review any new credit account openings. Also, check all your PAN-linked transactions through Form 26AS.
Follow these steps to file a complaint:
Visit the Tax Information Network portal.
Go to the Customer Care section and select Complaints/Queries.
Fill out the complaint form by following the on-screen instructions.
