The green anaconda is recognized as the heaviest and one of the longest snake species on Earth.

This snake can grow up to 26 feet in length and weigh around 200 kilograms.

It is commonly found in the swamps, rivers, and rainforests of the Amazon basin.

Green anacondas are non-venomous and kill their prey by constriction, wrapping their powerful bodies around the victim.

A team of 14 scientists from nine countries studied and documented this species, naming it Eunectes murinus, which means "good swimmer."
