Actor Salman Khan, who recently celebrated his 59th birthday in Jamnagar with the Ambanis, has always managed to stay in the public eye. His love life has always been an open book. One such chapter in his life involves his relationship with former Miss India, Sangeeta Bijlani. While their love story was much admired in the late 80s and early 90s, the much-anticipated wedding between Salman and Sangeeta never took place. In a candid chat on a TV show, Sangeeta confirmed that the wedding invitations had already been printed when the couple called it off.

A recent promo of Indian Idol featured Sangeeta Bijlani as a special guest. During the show, contestant Ritika Raj Singh surprised Sangeeta by asking if the rumours about her and Salman Khan’s wedding cards being printed were true. Ritika asked, “We heard that your and Salman sir’s wedding cards had already been printed?”

Sangeeta, along with Shreya Ghosal and Vishal Dadlani, appeared shocked by the question. However, she confirmed the rumour, saying, “Haan, wo jhut toh nahi hai”. Vishal then asked her to share the full story, saying, “So, what happened? What’s the story?”
