This Bigg Boss star lost all money, faced financial crisis, broke up with boyfriend, struggled to afford her..., not Rashami Desai

This actress began her career with the MTV show Splitsvilla 3. In 2010, she made her acting debut with the show Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi, portraying the character of Dalljiet. She later gained recognition for playing the love interest of Sidharth Shukla in the Star Plus show Love U Zindagi. In 2020, she was one of the strongest contestants in Bigg Boss 14, where Rubina Dilaik emerged as the winner and Rahul Vaidya as the runner-up. During the show, she fell in love with an actor from a different religion. The two remained in a relationship for a few years after leaving the show but have since parted ways. The actress has now become more devoted to her religion.

This actress once revealed about her struggles and poor financial conditions. She also admitted to having suicidal thoughts multiple times. In a candid conversation with ETimes TV, Pavitra Punia opened up about the difficult phases of her life, including her father’s demise and financial crisis due to lack of work. Talking about the finances, she recalled how her pay for seven days of work was kept on hold during the lockdown. Thus, it led to an extreme financial crisis for Pavitra as she kept her savings for future use. She said, “To be honest, I never had to audition. I was directly called for a look test. They said if we like you, then you can come and give us a look test. During the lockdown, I recall they didn’t reduce my payment, but they asked if they could withhold my one week’s payment because at that time I was doing Baalveer. They asked if they could keep my payment for one week. Given the global emergency, I realize I might face financial difficulties because after this, I won’t have any income, and I can’t touch my savings before that. Some savings are meant to be kept aside and untouched because they’re assets. You can’t just sell your assets or use them for daily expenses. I couldn’t do anything about it, and I know those 7 days really shook up my budget.”

Pavitra Punia’s father had an accident on December 27, 2020. Due to this accident, her father suffered from paralysis in his lower body, and that became a bigger concern for her than the Covid situation at that time. Explaining how she was also not having any work at that moment to support her family, se said, “More than the lockdown, the most challenging time for me was when I came out of Bigg Boss. It was the darkest period of my life when I didn’t have work, and the money I earned from Bigg Boss had run out while taking care of my family. It’s not about being rich, but rather about responsibility. For instance, if I’m in a hospital, I wouldn’t ask my mother for her credit or debit card. It’s a child’s responsibility. When you’re an earning member, you want to do everything you can for your parents. After coming out of Bigg Boss on November 28th, my life took a drastic turn when, on December 27th, my father met with an accident.”

Pavitra Punia on having suicidal thoughts

After exiting Bigg Boss 14, the first year and a half proved to be a challenging period for Pavitra Punia. She revealed that she fell into depression and even struggled with thoughts of suicide during this time. Pavitra credited her parents for helping her overcome this dark phase of her life.

She shared that her faith played a crucial role in her recovery. Being deeply religious and a devotee of Maa Durga, Pavitra strengthened her spiritual connection during this time. She began the year with a visit to Maa Vaishno Devi and, more recently, traveled to Ayodhya to seek blessings from Ramlala.

Pavitra Punia opens up about her breakup with Eijaz Khan

Pavitra met Eijaz Khan during their stint on Bigg Boss 14. She said: “Soch nahi milti hai. Aap try toh bahut karte hai. Logon ko yeh question mark rehta hai ke teen saal ke baat pata chala ki soch nahi milti hai. (Our thoughts didn’t match. You do try a lot. People have this question mark that after three years you got to know you’re thinking didn’t match).” “Teen saal aap try karte ho. Bhaag thodi na jaate hai situations ke saath. So we were trying. It didn’t work out. (Trying after three years, you can’t run away from situations. So we were trying. It didn’t work out).”

She added, “Why to get into a relationship, jisme aage chalkar aur bhi complications ho sakte hai. Woh cheez behter hai ki woh cheez khatam. (Why to get into a relationship knowing that there will be complications. It is better if we finish it).”
