Meet Pari Bishnoi, first female IAS officer from Bishnoi community, lived like a monk, now posted in..., she is married to...

Pari Vishnoi, hailing from Ajmer in Rajasthan, has set a remarkable example by becoming the first female IAS officer from the Bishnoi community. At just 23 years old, she achieved this prestigious position after passing the UPSC Civil Services Examination, a feat that took immense hard work and dedication. Born on February 26, 1996, in Kakra village, Bikaner, Pari Bishnoi grew up with immense pride in her community. Her Instagram account, with over 222k followers, is a testament to her influence and the admiration people have for her. Her father, Maniram Bishnoi, is a lawyer, while her mother, Sushila Bishnoi, serves as a police officer. Despite facing setbacks, Pari remained determined to follow her dream.

Pari initially faced setbacks in her UPSC journey, failing to clear the exam in her first two attempts. However, her perseverance never wavered. In her third attempt, she achieved an impressive All India Rank of 30, fulfilling her wish of becoming an IAS officer. Pari completed her early schooling at St. Mary’s Convent School in Ajmer, where she first set her dream on becoming an IAS officer. She obtained 91 per cent in her class 10th examination and scored 89 per cent in the class 12th examination respectively.

A dream set in 12th grade

Pari’s determination to become an IAS officer was cemented in her 12th grade. After completing her graduation from Delhi University, she began her UPSC preparations. She also pursued a post-graduation in Political Science from MDS University in Ajmer and cleared the NET-JRF examination. Her discipline and dedication towards her goal were evident throughout her journey.

Before clearing the UPSC Civil Services exam, she reportedly qualified for the University Grants Commission–National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) examination.

In an interview, Pari shared that during her preparation, she led a disciplined life, often resembling a monk’s lifestyle. She focused all her energy on her studies and overcame the challenges that came her way. At the age of 23, her hard work bore fruit, and she was appointed as an IAS officer.

Marriage to Bhavya Bishnoi

In 2023, Pari Vishnoi married Bhavya Bishnoi, the grandson of former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Bishnoi. Bhavya had contested the Assembly elections from the Adampur seat in Haryana but was unsuccessful in his attempt. Bhavya Bishnoi’s father, Kuldeep Bishnoi is the founder of the Haryana Janhit Congress.  The couple have no kids as of now and are reaching new heights in their respective careers.

Serving the Nation

After clearing the UPSC exam in 2019, Pari Vishnoi secured an impressive All India Rank of 30. She initially served as an Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Natural Gas in 2022. Following her posting in Sikkim, she worked as an SDM in Gangtok. After her marriage, she requested a change of cadre and is now serving in Haryana, contributing her expertise to the state’s development.

Pari Vishnoi’s journey from a small village in Rajasthan to becoming an IAS officer at such a young age is a shining example of determination, hard work, and the power of following one’s dreams. Her success story is a source of inspiration for countless young individuals across the nation.
